Hey, hi. 👋 Thank you for reading Traumatized…

I’m glad you’re here!

I’m a copywriter for personal brands. In other words, my job is to write words that help people sell their stuff on the internet.

But this newsletter isn’t about that.

I wanted a place to talk about my unconventional path to recovering from complex trauma (spoiler alert: it involves psychedelics) and how I’m putting the pieces of who I am back together.

I also wanted to flex my memoir-writing muscles by sharing personal stories that shed some light on how I got here.

Writing has always been a creative outlet for me to process my emotions, and it's been helpful for integration and healing.

As I’ve gotten more consistent about publishing my work on Substack, the more I love the community aspect of this platform. There's a generosity and authenticity here that makes me feel connected to something bigger (sounds cheesy, but it's true.) So, this feels like a good home for Traumatized.

If you’re a C-PTSD survivor, I hope you’ll feel seen and heard in the stories I share and that the resources I find helpful might make your journey a little easier.

If you’re not sure where to start, check out my very first post. It gives a little bit of the backstory of this newsletter.

If you’re interested in learning about my experience with psychedelic-assisted therapy, you can read these posts: Healing With Psychedelics: Parts One, Two, and Three.

Here’s what you really wanna know…

My 80's t-shirt collection is a little out of control, and I have almost no filter when it comes to asking personal questions (I apologize in advance if we ever meet in real life.)

When I'm not working on my next newsletter for Substack, I probably have a Duran Duran record on repeat while I try to recreate the latest recipe I found in a food magazine I swiped from my hair salon…

Kidding. I had permission to take it.

Or I'm trying to keep our small flock of birds from chasing our Frenchies around this little farm of ours.

(It’s not all pastoral dreams and organic gardens over here, but it’s home.)

Will you help me reach my first 500 subscribers? I know that’s small potatoes on Substack, but it would be a milestone for me! If you like the work I’m doing here with Traumatized, please share it!

I used to be a copywriter for personal brands. Now I write about trauma, C-PTSD, and my controversial path to healing. I like fancy coffee and 80s British pop.
